The downloadable chart shows the progress of the rollout outlining the number of premises passed, the services activated, and those passed but currently ‘Not yet ready to connect’.
Variations in numbers from week to week reflect the modular construction program. That is construction is completed in blocks, so that there may be large upward jumps in some weeks and less or none in others. Following completion of the construction process passing premises in the streets, further validation of address data is undertaken of the ‘as-built’ network against estimates obtained from national address data. There may be some fluctuation in numbers from week to week as a result.
This weekly report by NBN Co of network rollout progress reflects the Government’s requirements for greater transparency as set out in the Statement of Expectations to NBN Co. This shows rollout progress as of last Thursday 28 January 2021.
A total of 5,786 additional lots/premises were ready to connect during the week. This included an increase of 2,593 in Brownfield areas, an increase of 2,695 in New Development areas and an increase of 498 premises in fixed wireless and satellite areas.
During the week an additional 13,311 premises had services activated on the network, including 12,731 more on fixed line services and 580 more using satellite and fixed wireless technologies.
The Weekly Progress Report (Build) is currently being reviewed by NBN Co for any impacts of the global equipment and component shortage on the nbn™ HFC network. Publishing of the next Weekly Progress Report (Build) will resume as soon as possible.
